What Will I Learn?

The Network Security program at UAT gives students the skills to take steps necessary to secure and protect networks from hackers, viruses and cybercrime. Security essentials, intrusion detection, incident handling, firewall and perimeter protection and operating system security are some of areas that students will tackle during their academic journey. In addition, students will learn about implementation of defense tools, data analysis and investigative techniques, and intrusion detection methods. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

By the end of the program, students will gain insight into the minds and techniques of hackers. They leave with the skills and knowledge to effectively protect a vast array of networks, while deterring hackers.
